I love how you softened the edges of the horse to make it more ethereal and fantastical, fits well with the flowers and the sunburst in the background :)

ReplyDeleteThe Vignette around the photo looks great! thats the part that i feel brings it all together. To bad the resolution wasn't higher for the horse though, its a bit pixily. Great Job!

ReplyDeleteThank you for your compliments. I love horses and the great outdoors. The warm feeling of the sunset is what I really liked about his picture.
The Happy Pony was designed by using "Effects" with Picasa.
I added the shading to the top of the horse to create the sunset feeling.I used GIMP to
cut around the outline of the pony and then
initiated the feather tool for the edges of the pony. I do not have much Ram on my computer, so I needed to do this quite a few times do to the freeze ups.
The resolution does need to be higher. You are right. Always.......need to remember the resolution.
This is an awesome piece. You are to be commended on the persistence it takes to be able to do this on a machine that doesn't like to do this. At the very least, it's teaching you to save constantly. Don't worry about perfection, that will never come, just worry about finding the time to keep playing with this. Awesomeness comes from persistence. And you are well on your way.
